CALANGUTE: The Anjuna-Caisua Gram Sabha on Sunday deliberated on various issues concerning the village.
The members raised the issue of construction of a farmhouse atop the hillock of Anjuna which has been objected to by the villagers. The members were informed that the BDO has asked the farmhouse owner to submit Form I & XIV to ascertain the facts in the matter.
The villagers also raised the issue of bogus CRZ plan at Vagator Ozrant submitted by a Delhi-based builder to seek construction approvals. After a detailed discussion, a resolution was adopted directing Anjuna Police to investigate into the matter thoroughly and probe the illegalities in submission of bogus plan.
Michael D’Souza, Ramesh Naik and Balbim Malvankar also raised the issues concerning the welfare of the village.
Pradeep Harmalkar took Panchayat Secretary Subodh Prabhu to task for not writing his suggestion in the minutes of the last Gram Sabha. After discussion over the issue, it was decided to write it accordingly. The meeting was chaired by Sarpanch Pratima Govekar, while Deputy Sarpanch Savio Almeida replied to the queries of the members.
