VALPOI: Ansulem villagers in Poriem constituency have finally agreed to vote in Lok Sabha polls to be held in the State on April 23.
At a crucial meeting on Saturday, the villagers decided to vote in Lok Sabha polls. The meeting was convened by BJP leader Prashant Desai who convinced the villagers that they should cast their votes. He assured them that he would stand with the villagers if authorities or government fails to start road work after modal code of conduct.
Desai told the villagers that he spoke to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and that the latter had assured him that after code of conduct, road work would be taken on priority. He assured the villagers that he would be with people until the road work commenced. Villagers warned that if government fails to start work of the connecting road they would stage protest and come on street if needed. At the end of the meeting, the villagers unanimously decided to vote in LS polls.
