Anyone can attend shakhas, says RSS

Decision of posts will be taken at the headquarters; no differences with RSS, says Velingkar

PANJIM: The main Goa RSS Sangh has welcomed the decision of the Goa Prant to merge with the Konkan Prant of the RSS.
Speaking to Herald Goa Vibhag (region) RSS Sanghchalak Laxman Behre said that anyone can join the sangh at anytime as it is a voluntary service. “I welcome Subhash Velingkar’s decision, they should attend the prayers and shakhas,” he said.  SEE EDIT PG 8 >>
Replying to a question about posts in the Goa Vibhag for those who will be returning to the Sangh, he said it is up to the headquarters to decide this.
Subhash Velingkar who had rebelled from the RSS in September 2016 over the medium of instruction issue said that all 4000 cadres would rejoin the Sangh soon. The decision would be conveyed to the media, he added.
He said they have not sought to retain the old posts they had in the RSS. “As swayamsevaks we will contribute to the Sangh,” Velingkar said.
The Goa Prant has had a series of meetings all over Goa to gauge the pulse of the cadre. “We don’t have differences with the RSS. We have differences only with some issues and having two Sanghs is not in the interest of the State and country,” Velingkar said.
