Bar owners from Aquem and Malbhat met the Excise Inspector who is in charge of Salcete Taluka over certain wholesale liquor shops being open late at night, beyond the 9 pm deadline. They said that it was causing a tremendous loss to their business. They also complained of an illegal bar operating in the area. The Excise Inspector, Incharge of Salcete said they had carried out patrolling but they found no one on the appointed day and that the drive would continue.
