PANJIM: Superintendent of Police Arvind Gawas was among a few selected officers and personnel rewarded for their best performance in the first award ceremony for Goa Police on Wednesday.
The award show titled ‘Swabhiman 2019’ organised by Indian Red Cross Society (Goa), Raj Group and Rajeshri Creations presented awards to three constables, head constables, assistant sub inspectors and police sub inspectors; four police inspectors, three deputy superintendents of police and one superintendent of police. A special samaj ‘police mitra’ award was presented to PI Jivba Dalvi.
DySPs Dharmesh Angle, Sammy Tavares and Sunita Sawant, and PIs Harishchandra Madkaikar, Rajan Nigalye, Ninad Deulkar and Siddhant Shirodkar were among the others awarded. Goa Governor Mridula Sinha was the chief guest.
