MARGAO: The Special Court, Margao, hearing the Canacona building collapse case on Thursday, rejected the bail application of deputy town planner Prakash Bandodkar.
Bandodkar was the first official to be arrested by the police after the building collapsed on January 4 and has been behind bars since the last two months.
Meanwhile, former Canacona municipal Chief Officer Dipak Desai has moved the High Court for bail, days after the Special Judge, Margao Nutan Sardesai rejected his bail application.
