Bangalore native commits suicide in Mapusa hotel

PORVORIM, JUNE 18 A native of Bangalore committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan in a hotel at Mapusa on Friday morning. According to Mapusa police, Vishnuvardhan Padmanabhcharya, who had checked in the hotel on June 12, had informed his relatives over the phone that he is committing suicide in the hotel.

A native of Bangalore committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan in a hotel at Mapusa on Friday morning.
According to Mapusa police, Vishnuvardhan Padmanabhcharya, who had checked in the hotel on June 12, had informed his relatives over the phone that he is committing suicide in the hotel.
The relatives in turn contacted Mapusa Police immediately and informed about the matter. The police rushed to the hotel and on verifying the name, knocked on the door of the room, where Padmanabhcharya had lodged in.
Since police did not get any response, they broke open the door and found the body hanging to the ceiling fan.
Police also recovered a note on the table stating that he is committing suicide due to financial problems.Mapusa police after investigating sent the body to GMC Hospital at Bambolim for autopsy, which will be conducted on Saturday. Police Sub Inspector M Bhuyamber is investigating the case.
