CALANGUTE: The family entertainment musical beat show organised by Calangute Village Panchayat, at Calangute beach to revive the memories of yesteryears, concluded on Sunday, with comedy acts, individual performances and live band performance.
The second day of the festival saw a large crowd which was entertained by Konkani artists including Sonia Sirsat, Aniceto, comedians Dominic and Luis Bachhan besides local singers.
The dance performances by Darryl and Rachquel troupe kept the audience enthralled. Well-known Goan band ‘The Syndicate’ dished out a sampling of ballads and pop songs to entertain the large Sunday crowd.
The audience however missed Lorna who performed on the first day of the programme. Joseph Sequeira who organised the family entertainment musical beat show was overjoyed with the response the programme received, while the sarpanch and panchayat members of Calangute extended their support.
Ashton Santamaria and Vivek D’Silva drew praise for their support and co-operation. Vivek D’Silva, Jovicia Sequeira and Jacqueline Fernandes compered the programme.
