CANACONA: With many churches and chapels celebrating feasts in May, beef dishes have continued to remain off the banquet with a shortage of beef still affecting many parts of the State.
At Canacona, two chapel festivals at Ponsulem and Maxem-Loliem were celebrated on Wednesday and if sources are to be believed with most of the beef stalls in the entire State had already run out of stock, no beef dish was on the menu for the celebrations.
Residents from Agonda and Loliem celebrate their annual festivals during the weekend, while the Sadolxem parishioners the following Sunday and the scores of other regions which observes their annual festivals at their Chapels and Crosses, expects the same situation vis-à-vis the availability of beef, informed sources.
