Condemning the illegal slaughtering in the locality, the residents have dashed a letter to the Betalbatim sarpanch demanding action against the illegal activity.
In the representation, the residents demanded to know how the slaughter activity continues when there is a ban imposed by the High Court.
“The then District Collector N D Agrawal had raided the place and had caught red-handed the people who were engaged in slaughtering of cattle.
The raid had stopped the activity, but it has now resurfaced with the animal slaughter taking place in the wee hours of the day,” the residents stated in their representation, adding that activity raise a stink in the surrounding environment.
