Zilla Panchayat (ZP) member and BJP leader Dhaku Madkaikar has filed a criminal complaint against Fatorda MLA and Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai for allegedly making casteist and derogatory remarks on social media.
The complaint pertains to a post made on the official Facebook page of the Goa Forward Party, which reportedly contained offensive comments targeting Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker and ST community member Ramesh Tawadkar.

Madkaikar, in his complaint, accused Sardesai of using language that was not only disrespectful but also discriminatory towards members of the Scheduled Tribes (ST) community. He urged authorities to take strict legal action under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Police officials have confirmed receiving the complaint and stated that the matter is under preliminary investigation. Sardesai and the GFP are yet to issue an official response.
