PANJIM: BJP MLAs had a meeting with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar Friday, the first after he returned from his trip abroad, to discuss various party issues. The meeting lasted for more than an hour.
Most MLAs were present except Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, Pramod Sawant, Mahadev Naik and Deputy Speaker Anant Shet.
The meeting comes after the beginning of the party’s campaign for the Lok Sabha seat, and the chief minister becoming a part of the Modi led sub committee and the talk of rumblings in the BJP. The latter have however been vociferously denied by the party.
Meanwhile, PWD minister, Ramkrishna Sudin Dhavalikar is said to have met the Union Minister Oscar Fernandes on the Zuari Bridge MoU, expansion of NH4 and NH 17. Fernandes is said to have told him that he would review the files and inform him about his decision within a month.
