BJP State President Damu Naik has announced that the party will field at least 80 percent fresh faces in the upcoming Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections. He said the BJP, as an organisation-driven party, follows a structured selection mechanism, emphasising winnability and public appeal as the key criteria for finalising candidates. Naik confirmed that the final list of probable candidates will be released in the next four to five days, as most decisions regarding names have already been completed internally. He added that choosing new candidates reflects the party’s commitment to grassroots leadership and youth political participation.
