Margao, June 24: A buffalo injured after being hit by a car on the Navelim–Nuvem highway was successfully rescued through the coordinated efforts of the Margao Town Police, the District Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) South, and the Dhyaan Foundation.
According to sources, the animal sustained injuries after the accident and was found stranded along the highway. Upon receiving information, personnel from the Margao Town Police Station, along with representatives of DSPCA South and the Dhyaan Foundation, rushed to the spot and carried out the rescue operation.

The injured buffalo was safely moved from the roadway and provided with the necessary care and assistance. Their swift response helped prevent further harm to the animal and ensured the safety of motorists using the busy highway.
