CURCHOREM: A 52-year-old businessman Rajesh Shripad Kamat from Bansai, here, committed suicide by jumping in the River Zuari.
According to investigating officer, Police Sub-Inspector Karishma Prabhu, some locals saw his car, sandals and pant belt on the bank of river and informed the police. Accordingly, the police team checked the nearby installed CCTV footage and confirmed the incident.

“We recovered the body with the help of fire brigade personnel. Later, the body was sent to TB Hospital, Margao, for post mortem. It will be handed over to his relatives for final rites after conducting the post mortem,” said PSI Prabhu.
It is learnt that in a short span of time this is the third similar incident occurred at the same site. Few days back, a student from a local school and then a local businessman committed suicide by jumping in the river.
