The Calangute Police on Tuesday registered an offence under the Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act against two persons, Ashish Kumar Jha and Rajan Kumar Jha, from Sirohi, Rajasthan. The accused were found in possession of a black colour tube-shaped substance, suspected to be charas, weighing 702 grams worth Rs. 5.6lakh and a greenish colour leafy substance, suspected to be marijuana, weighing 1342 grams worth Rs. 1.3 lakh, all approximately worth Rs. 6.90.
Both accused were apprehended near Bosio Hospital, Candolim, while they were in search of probable customers. PSI Viraj Naik, PSI Kiran Naik, and other constables under the supervision of PI Dattaguru Sawant, Dy.SP V.Karpe and the guidance of SP Shobhit Saksena apprehended the accused
