Camp to address public grievances at Ponda’s Kranti Maidan

Officials from 26 govt departments to attend; citizens who carry relevant documents can get certificates

PONDA: As part of the nationwide ‘Good Governance Initiative’, a special camp to address public grievances and provide information on government schemes will be held at Ponda’s Kranti Maidan on December 21. Officials from 26 departments will attend the camp to assist citizens.

Announcing this, Deputy Collector Rohan Naik stated that the programme will run from 10 am to 4 pm, organised by the South Goa Collector’s office. The event forms part of the initiative being held from 19 to 24 December, aimed at enhancing public service delivery and responsiveness.

The camp will feature help desks from various departments, including the offices of the Deputy Collector, Ponda Mamlatdar, BDO, Zonal Agriculture Office, Civil Supplies, Tribal Welfare, PWD, Forest, Women and Child Development, Ponda Municipality, and the Directorate of Health Services (via Ponda Sub-District Hospital).

Naik added that during the camp, citizens can gain information about government schemes and services. Those who bring the necessary documents will also be able to obtain

certificates on the spot. A preparatory meeting involving all participating officials has already been conducted at the Deputy Collector’s office.
