PANJIM: Panjim police have registered a case of cheating against two persons for failing to make full payment to local film artistes.
According to police, Newton Dias of Caranzalem complained that between August 23, 2012 and February 2013, Badrog Barretto and Agnelo Braganza, both having operational office at Andheri (West) Mumbai sought lead and supporting actors for an upcoming film, purportedly titled as “Nachaya Kumpasar”.
The complainant stated that he provided the artistes to the accused persons and as per an agreement for a payment of Rs 4.30 lakh approximately but he was instead paid only Rs 1.35 lakh. Police said the two have been charged under section 420 of IPC and they will be called for questioning. “If there is any case made out against them, we will arrest them,” an officer said.
