The six meat shops at the Panjim market are still facing delays in operation because the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has not yet issued allotment letters to these sellers. CCP Commissioner Clen Madeira stated that the process would move forward once these letters were allotted, but he did not provide a specific timeline. Meat sellers have expressed their frustration with the ongoing uncertainty.
Mannasab Bepari, president of the Qureshi Meat Traders Association of Goa, said, “In this situation, the ones suffering are the people who depend on meat in Panjim,” and hoped for a quick resolution.
