Charas and ganja worth Rs 70k seized at Arambol

PERNEM: Pernem police on Wednesday arrested Chanky Hiralal Khatri (27), native of Tripoliya Bazar Rajasthan and presently staying at Blackout Restaurant located at Khalchawada, Arambol for allegedly possessing narcotic substance suspected to be ganja and charas.

According to the Pernem Police, the raid was conducted between in the early hours of Wednesday between 6.45 and 9.45 am at Blackout Restaurant at Khalcha-wada in Arambol during which the accused was found in possession of dry leafy substance narcotic drugs suspected to be ganja weighing 305 grams and black sticky substance narcotic drugs suspected to be charas weighing 40 grams, all worth Rs 70,000 approximately.

Accused person is placed under arrest under section 20(b)i)(A) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. PSI Harish Vaigankar is investigating the case.
