MARGAO: Absence of a full time secretary as resulted in the Chinchinim Deussua village panchayat not even deciding when they should hold the gram sabha supposed to be held in November even though the last Sunday of the month is tomorrow.
While 27 villages would have held the November gram sabhas by November 25, the three villages that have not held their gram sabhas are Chinchinim-Deussua, Carmona and Guirdolim. In fact Carmona was supposed to have its gram sabha on November 25 but had to change the date as there are by-election in one ward on that day.
Guirdolim panchayat will be holding its gram sabha on December 2 when the Carmona gram sabha will also be held.
However, Chinchinim Deussua is yet to decide when to hold the gram sabha as its sarpanch was on leave and it has a secretary who is holding additional charge.
