CURCHOREM: Some people from Curchorem are complaining about Aadhar office which is situated on first floor of the building at Bebquegal, Curchorem.
Senior citizen from Curchorem and well known tiatrist William Fernandes said it becomes very difficult to climb the office which is situated on the first floor of the building at Bebquegal.
“The owner of the building has blocked the entry road and the vehicles cannot be taken inside. This makes it difficult for the elderly people, including the physically challenged, to walk to the entrance and then climb to the first floor due to absence of a ramp,” said Fernandes. He urged the concerned authorities to immediately shift the office to a place where the facilities, specially for the senior citizens, can be provided.
He further said that there is no proper parking area despite the building having around 37 flats including shops in the premises.
College Professor Sanjay Dessai informed that Aadhar card office is collecting Rs 200 as processing fees plus Rs3 for Xerox copy. “I have complained to the head office at Delhi and I got assurance from them that they will take necessary action after studying the matter,” the professor said.
