Trouble in paradise today! The police cleared the tables and umbrellas along the Palolem beach. Since the season commenced, many complained about few tourists visiting the beach.
The beach clearance is certainly not good for Goa’s image of being a “small paradise”. Many tourists have been visiting Goa for years and are used to the beds and umbrellas on the beaches. Most senior citizens especially from Europe come here to relax during winter.
These beds and parasols are important for them to spend some time on the beach.
The authorities should not put their problems at the expense of these high-spending tourists and this is unfriendly to the visitors. Goa was a “little paradise” and everyone felt comfortable here. Hope to see beds and umbrellas at the beach soon.
