The entire stretch of the F L Gomes Road in Vasco, one of the two main roads in Vasco, has got a facelift by way of the road median constructed with concrete slabs. It is observed that plants have grown on the road median except at the Vasco vegetable market. In the absence of plants along the median at the vegetable market, one can easily cross the road at any point. Though a small gap is kept for the citizens to cross the road, in the absence of a zebra-crossing, people are forced to climb the median to cross the road thereby putting their lives at risk. It is necessary to have a zebra-crossing at the spot, grow plants in the road median and keep a broader opening along the median for people to cross the road.
