It is interesting to note that despite a bumper monsoon, which boasts of the Mormugao taluka recording the second highest rainfall in Goa is reeling under ‘Draught’. The department is complacent and absolutely unaware of the severe water unavailability to the consumers.
Complaints can be registered on the PWD telephone.ie.2512382. This number is, however, is permanently busy, the operator is blissfully unaware of the situation even when the entire Vascoites taps are running dry.
The operator resorts to arrogance, and ignorance. However, if questioned on the MLD received, he rudely refers that the information can be furnished by the AE. This information, however, cannot be suppressed, unless the department has other ulterior motives to divert the water to undisclosed locations.
Private Water Tanker services are big business and not a solution. We request the PWD Minister to take a serious view of the situation.
Dear Minister…..does the common man have to beg for their fundamental rights???? This is not what we expect after voting you into power.
