The Navelkar Hill City Complex Bainguinim and its surroundings have been without tap water for a very long time and are at the mercy of tanker suppliers for water for their daily needs.
Despite many assurances by the so called in power especially during the election time, promising heavens but till date nothing is being done but other arrangements have been made to supply direct tap water for the oncoming high rise projects thus neglecting us citizens, for the past so many years.
Adding to the misery is the garbage that is thrown along the entrance to the Hill City very near to the tanker that was built to supply us water but is there standing tall as a white elephant. This garbage is thrown by many new outsiders who have built their bungalows despite the garbage being collected daily by the panchayat workers.
“We are talking about Swachh Bharat, but looking at the garbage mess (see picture), it shows how callous people are and reluctant to keep their vicinity nor the state clean, thus making one wonder what will be the situation of these garbage throwers homes. Hope better sense prevails or else leave this clean vicinity and go to stay in the slums that will make your stay memorable.
