Bus shelters are meant for the benefit of commuters waiting for buses in order to proceed to the concerned destinations. However on most occasions we notice these premises in a dirty condition. At most of the bus shelters, waste papers, plastic bags and plastic bottles are strewn. The same are not regularly cleared and hence the situation turns inconvenient for innocent commuters present here. The bus shelter situated near Primary Health Centre in Sanquelim adds to this list. Seen in the picture is cow dung inside the bus shelter situated adjacent to the bus stand at Shiroda in Ponda. One wonders whether it is being regularly cleaned. It is time for the concerned authorities to take a note of this important matter and see to it that the bus shelters are regularly cleaned for the convenience of commuters. The shelters should be kept neat and tidy so that public at large do not face any difficulty or inconvenience while occupying the same. Prompt favorable action in this direction would be appreciated by one and all.
