MARGAO: turning from bad to worse

As far as Margao city is concerned there is no management on the city. No proper planning and nobody is looking after the city.

The situation in Margao is going from bad to worse. The new MMC market which is not new anymore is so congested that there is no place for the people to do shopping.
In olden days when this MMC market was built there was so much place in between the shops that if you take a car inside the market on one side and you can take it out on the other side without any hassles. This space now is occupied by more shopkeepers making it difficult for the people to do shopping in MMC market.
As if this is not enough, the shopkeepers are keeping their goods for sale on the passage outside kept for the people to move around making it more difficult. And they are not afraid of anyone because there is no one to ask them and punish them.
There is no vigilance at all. Look at the state of the chapel opposite Bank of India. No one is bothered to clear the same.
Secondly if you see the SGPDA fish market and fruit market, it is a total mess and full of filth. Everybody were given places to sit on top and do business but the fruit vendors as well as fisher-folks are keeping their stuff in the passage which is meant for public, making them more difficult to move around.
There is no one to look after this and get this arranged. Thirdly if you have looked at the footpaths all over Margao, especially on the main road at the entrance of SGPDA market gaddas are increasing day by day even in front of churches and chapels. This happens all over Margao and they got their own leader to protect them for which he takes money from them. Here also nobody looks after this and stop this menace.
The roads of Margao are in very pathetic state. The sewage lines are choked everywhere. The latest scene was opposite INOX at the entrance of Madel.  Even the wholesale Fish market is filthy and the people of Madel are fed up of complaining every now and then.
All this happens because MMC is blaming SGPDA, SGPDA is blaming Collector, and the Collector is blaming the Police.
There is no unity among the concerned authorities. Their blame game is on. If all the concerned authorities work unitedly and off course with the help of the people all the above mentioned woes of Margao can be tackled and solved. Will anyone come forward and get it done?
