The matter titled ‘Electricity Jolts a rather risky business’ was published in this column on November 12. Subsequently the electricity department in Ponda removed the rubber tube (attached to the live electrical wires) situated near the premises of the Ponda Municipal Council. Due to this favourable action, a possible tragedy that would have occurred sooner or later has been avoided on a permanent basis.
I take this opportunity to thank the higher officials at this important department for their quick positive action in this regard. I also thank the ‘Citizen Herald’ team for highlighting this sensitive matter.
