Although traffic signboards have been installed with a view to assure safety to innocent travellers, we still come across instances wherein the signboards fail to serve their basic purpose. At some locations the same are found either in a totally bent condition or lying on the ground along the roadsides.
The picture shows two traffic signboards lying neglected near the vehicular underpass at Kapileshwari junction in Ponda. The situation is rather undesirable and needs to be improved on prompt basis.
As on May 04 at 7:30am situation in this regard was found to be unchanged. Let us hope that the concerned authorities will take a note of this important matter and initiate prompt positive steps in removing the above neglected signboards and installing them at the appropriate area wherever needed. This would go a long way in assuring safety to precious human lives.
