With the rains coming to certain standstill, potholes remain to be full of water or full of surprises. The implementation of the amended Motor Vehicle Act (MVA) makes it even scarier for people commuting along their destination.
The National Highway 17 stretching from Green Park to the Bastora junction is pretty much a disaster. Minimum one person each day manages to fall or injure oneself along that road.
A daily commuter said, “I usually don’t take that road but one evening I was overtaking a truck and was approximately two seconds away from going into a pothole on the other side of the road and crashing.” Along with the victim was his colleague who witnessed it.
The implementation of the new traffic rules is good with effect to those who drive without a licence or those who feel that their helmets are too heavy for their skull but what is the point if the roads are not suitable for driving along?
