Mount Litera Zee School, Goa unit, carried out cleanliness drive at Dabolim Junction, Fatima Colony, Raj Resort and at Chicaolna-Bogmalo. The students also presented a special assembly in the open garden to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The students had an opportunity to interact with the members of the local self government at Bogmalo.
Similarly, a group of young boys under the banner ‘Green Goa’ led by Minister for Environment & Forest Mrs Alina Saldanha carried out a cleanliness driver at Zuarinagar. Addressing the gathering, Saldanha raised serious concerns over the quantum of garbage in Sancoale Panchayat area. She said that the cleanliness drive was only symbolic but extremely important to send the right message to the people in the area about the need to maintain cleanliness and hygiene essential for good health and joy in living.
A cleanliness drive was also carried out jointly by the members of Sancoale Panchayat along with the residents of Vidyanagar and NSS unit of MES college of Arts and Commence. Loads of plastics were collected during the drive.
