PANJIM: For the first time, the State Budget will include suggestions from the people as Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday launched an online portal for receiving suggestions.
Addressing the media after launching the portal, Sawant said, “The ideas and suggestions would help the government formulate a more comprehensive budget with focus on areas and sectors important to the citizens.”
Sawant said that the suggestions would be accepted up to January 31. He said that people will have to login on www.goaonline.gov.in by providing an email id, mobile number, name, address and date of birth along with OTP authentication.
Sawant called upon all to participate in the endeavour with valuable suggestions for better suggestions and a better Goa. Replying to queries, the chief minister said that the State Budget would be presented on February 6.
“The Budget will lay stress on sustainable development,” he said refusing to take any further queries on the financial statement to be presented in the House.
