PANJIM: The wait for Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s return to Goa could soon end as he is likely to return on June 14, ahead of Goa Revolution Day on June 18. While sources close to his family claim he will be back on June 14, BJP MLA Nilesh Cabral asserts Parrikar will be in Goa on June 15.
The CM will soon chair a cabinet meeting and take stock of happenings in the departments. He will then meet Cabinet Advisory Committee members Ramkrishna (Sudin) Dhavalikar and Vijai Sardesai. The third CAC member, Francis D’Souza, is presently out of the country.
Parrikar will, however, not attend the Revolution Day function even as a government invitation had mentioned his name along with Chief Guest, Governor Dr Mridula Sinha and others.
After falling ill on February 14, Parrikar was shifted to Mumbai. He had returned to Goa and tabled the Budget, and was later flown to USA for advanced treatment on March 7.
