CM Pramod Sawant Lauds German Language Training for Nursing Students, Highlights Global Career Opportunities

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has encouraged nursing students in Goa to prepare for international careers by acquiring language and professional skills, highlighting the growing global demand for qualified nurses.

Addressing the gathering at the Matoshri Padmini Day programme held at Sai Nursing Institute, the Chief Minister urged students to look beyond their comfort zones and broaden their career aspirations, noting that skilled nurses are highly sought after across the world.

Dr. Sawant welcomed the introduction of German language training alongside the nursing curriculum, describing it as a significant step towards improving the employability of Goan students in overseas healthcare sectors. He said that proficiency in foreign languages, coupled with quality nursing education, would open up greater opportunities for students seeking careers abroad.

The German language training initiative has been launched in collaboration with the NRI Commission and Stana Global. The programme aims to equip aspiring nurses with both professional expertise and language proficiency, enabling them to compete successfully in the international job market.

The Chief Minister commended the initiative, stating that such programmes will empower Goan youth with the skills needed to excel globally while strengthening the state’s reputation for producing highly qualified healthcare professionals.
