PANJIM: Following directions from Election Commission of India (ECI), the Chief Electoral Office (CEO) Goa has asked district administration- North to file an FIR against AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal before January 31.
“We have got directions from ECI, which taking serious note of Kejriwal repeated violation of code of conduct despite warning, has asked us to register an FIR against the AAP leader,” sources at CEO office said.
Accordingly, the ECI report has been forwarded to the North Goa collector for registering FIR before Panjim police, since the offence was committed in North Goa. “The FIR has to be registered before January 31 and by 3 pm and on same day we have to submit the action taken report to ECI,” sources said.
