Cong condemns reinstatement of Malvankar

PANJIM: Condemning the reinstatement of Malvankar, who was caught red-handed accepting bribe, the Congress Sunday said that this is a proof that the “BJP government is of thugs and outlaws.”

Also calling the Malvankar case as a prime example of complete failure of BJP’s “mantra of zero tolerance to corruption”, the Congress said that SP Bosco George and PI Nolasco Raposo were transferred to facilitate the reinstatement of Malvankar in his job. Malvankar is the brother-in-law of Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar.
Stating that the case of Malvankar would embolden other corrupt officials, Congress General Secretary Sunil Kawthankar demanded that the chief minister take action in the right direction to deter corruption.
