PANJIM: Congress has filed a complaint against Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and Panjim Police for making the ‘weaponise the youth’ statement.
The complainant has demanded a case of sedition be booked against the Dy CM for inciting a war against an elected Government in the state. Sardesai had made the statement during the inauguration of Goa Forward Party’s office last week and subsequently also stood firm on his remarks.
In his complaint, Vivek D’Silva, president of North Goa Youth Congress has stated “The statement clearly is an intent to wage a war against the Government duely instituted under the constitution of India and also against the people of Goa.”
He has further said that the statement by Vijai has been made with an intent to excite disaffection.
