Addressing the press on Thursday he said, “There are three MLA’s in Mapusa, but in the last four & half year they did not come to Mapusa & see the situation of the town. But for the public meeting of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, all the ministers came to Mapusa.”
“Parrikar had promised to provide employment to 15,000 youth and promised to solve drug paddling problem. Leaving all these, he went to Delhi. After the surgical strike, posters were put up with the pictures of ministers, instead of soldiers, who gave up their lives,” he criticised.
Small time contractors who executed government works are yet to be paid around Rs 970 crores, of which around Rs 100 crore by the PWD Division 13 of Bardez, he alleged.
“Government is coming up with development projects at the cost of people and on loans. Goa is running on the loans taken by government and if this continues, then, ten years from now, Goa will be bankrupt,” he warned.
During the program held at Pernem ITI, CM Laxmikant Parsekar spoke about start-up India and self employment, but these are the same people whose bills the government has kept pending, he added.
