PANJIM: The Goa Youth Forward took a pot shot at the Congress for failing to give employment to local youth during its previous tenures in the State.
“Why did the Congress not think of giving jobs when it was in power for many years? Since it failed to do so, many of our Goans are in Portugal (for jobs),” the youth wing’s vice president Pooja Naik said at a press conference on Thursday. The youth leader was reacting to Congress’ repeated criticism on Goa Forward Party president “Weaponising does not mean coming on the streets and fighting… Our weapon is Goenkarponn and we will always stick to Goem, Goenkar and Goenkarponn as preached by our President. We will always fight for the youth,” she said.
