Congress leader Manikrao Thakare has expressed confidence that the party will form the government in Goa after the 2027 Assembly elections. Addressing party workers, Thakare said the Congress is intensifying its preparations well ahead of the polls and is focused on strengthening its organisational structure across the state.
He emphasised that the party’s immediate priority is to expand its reach among voters and reinforce its presence at the grassroots level. According to Thakare, Congress workers have an important role to play in connecting with the public and communicating the party’s vision for Goa’s future.
Thakare also highlighted the importance of opposition unity in the run-up to the elections. He stated that the Congress would work towards bringing together like-minded political forces to build a stronger challenge against the ruling government. He stressed that cooperation among opposition parties would be crucial in presenting a credible alternative to the electorate.
The senior leader said the party remains optimistic about its prospects and believes that growing public support will help it perform strongly in the next Assembly polls. He urged workers to remain committed and continue engaging with people across constituencies.
With less than two years remaining for the 2027 elections, political activity in Goa is expected to intensify. Thakare’s remarks indicate that the Congress has already begun laying the groundwork for its campaign, with a focus on organisation-building, outreach programmes and efforts to consolidate opposition support across the state.
