VASCO, JULY 6
A police constable and another youth were seriously injured when a scooter and a truck collided with each other near Sanjivani Hospital at Baina-Vasco on Monday evening.
According to police reports, the incident took place at about 3.30 pm, when Mrunal Roy (26) was riding the scooter (GA-02-L-6813) along with the pillion rider Subham Tapa (16) towards Baina.
Roy, a constable at Vasco police station who was recently suspended from service, sustained grievous head injuries and was rushed to GMC hospital in a critical condition, while Tapa is also admitted at GMC with leg fractures.
Police has Anand Halankar, driver of the truck (GA-02-V-6625) under Sections 279 and 337 of IPC.
