Consumer expo opens at Canacona

CANACONA: Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar inaugurated Goa Consumer Expo at Chaudi-Canacona on Tuesday morning.

Partnered by Herald and powered by Pretty Home, Goa’s popular expo on home and lifestyle products has for the first time began at open ground, opposite Canacona Mamlatdar’s office, Chaudi.
Eagerly awaiting its inauguration, scores of people were seen making a rush for the exhibition. Every consumer products, including home appliances/electronics, consumer goods and food products, cosmetics, lifestyle and health, besides food courts are exhibited and available for sale under one roof.
Tawadkar inaugurated the six-day Goa Consumer Expo in the presence of Canacona Municipal Council (CMC) Chairperson Simon Rebello, Deputy Chairperson Champa Ashok Pagui, Councillors Suchita Rangu Naik Gaonkar, Rajeshri Pagui and Shri Mallikarjun Devasthan Secretary Shantaji Naik Gaonkar.
Later speaking to media persons, Tawadkar complimented Herald and Pretty Home for bringing such an advanced form of exhibition to Canacona. “It will certainly help a lot of youth to have a first-hand feel of advanced sports equipments available for keeping one self fit and energetic. My department can certainly think of making such equipments available to youth, especially rural youth at affordable prices,” Tawadkar stated.
Rebello, expressing his gratitude to Herald, also complimented Pretty Home for bringing such exhibition at Canacona’s door and asked residents to reap its benefits.
“People should come out in large to visit this exhibition, the first ever exhibition in Canacona and take its benefits of discounted rates,” said Rebello.
Pretty Home proprietor Pooja Komarpant described the Canacona exhibition a dream come true for her. “I basically belong to Canacona and it was my long wish to organize an exhibition of this enormity for the people of my home taluka, nevertheless we organise many in major cities like Margao and Panjim.”
“I feel really privileged to power this Goa Consumer Expo in association with Herald Group for the people of Canacona. Hope people will take its advantage netting discounts and other offers at stake,” said Komarpant.
There are over 60 stalls at Chaudi’s Goa Consumer Expo.
