Authorities in Sancoale carried out a cleanup operation after contaminated water was discovered in a well within the premises of a local church. Acting on directions from the state administration, officials from tanker company ZIAV Pvt Ltd pumped out approximately five barrels of polluted water from the site.
The well, located at the Our Lady of Health Church in Shindole, raised concerns among residents after the water was found to be discoloured and potentially unsafe. Officials moved swiftly to prevent any public health risk, ensuring that the contaminated water was removed in a controlled manner.
Company representatives stated that they are awaiting further instructions from authorities regarding the safe disposal of the extracted water. They also assured full cooperation for any additional measures required to restore the site.
Local residents have expressed concern over water safety in the area, urging authorities to conduct thorough inspections and prevent similar incidents in the future. The administration is expected to monitor the situation closely and take further action if necessary.
