PANJIM: Crime Branch on Saturday busted an online prostitution racket by arresting three persons, including a woman. Three girls, hailing from Delhi and Bangalore, were rescued and sent to the Protective Home.
The trio identified as Joseph, Jacob and Piya (full names not known) were allegedly operating via an escorts website www.locanto.net
A senior police officer said Joseph was caught red-handed while he was taking the victim girls to customers at around 5pm in Panjim. The deal was set at Rs 60,000.
The arrested accused will be produced before a local court for custodial interrogation. The police officer said that interrogation will throw more light into the case.
