Soni was released on bail about a week ago on condition that he does not leave the State for one month without the court’s permission.
In his petition filed before Special Judge B P Deshpande on Wednesday, Soni explained that he was required for his daughter’s admission in Gems World Academy, Dubai on August 25 and at the American University in Dubai where his son studies for PTA meeting scheduled on August 26 followed by orientation program on August 28. His lawyer Nitin Sardesai also submitted that Soni’s arrest in Goa had also affected his business in Dubai.
The prosecution had contested the petition claiming the forms were manipulated while also pointing out the two dates – August 25 and 26 had lapsed.
