Court to pronounce orders in Margao blast case today

MARGAO, JUNE 30 The South Goa Sessions court will pronounce on July 1 orders on the framing of criminal charges against the accused involved in the Margao bomb blast case. The court will also pass orders on the bail applications moved by the accused persons on Thursday.

The South Goa Sessions court will pronounce on July 1 orders on the framing of criminal charges against the accused involved in the Margao bomb blast case.
The court will also pass orders on the bail applications moved by the accused persons on Thursday.
While the prosecution has prayed to the Court to frame charges against the accused under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Explosives Substances Act, for waging war against the State, besides Criminal Conspiracy, the accused has pleaded that they be discharged from the case for want of any evidence.
The accused persons Vinay Talekar, Vinayak Patil, Dhananjay Ashthekar and Dilip Mangaonkar had submitted there’s no evidence against them to charge them under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Substances Act or for waging a war against the state.
During the argument before framing of charge, the defense lawyer, Adv Sanjiv Punalekar had pleaded that the accused be enlarged on bail in the even the court deems it fit to frame charges against them.
The prosecution led by Special Public Prosecutor, S B Faria had opposed the bail applications of the three accused Vinay Talekar, Vinayak Patil and Dilip Mangaonkar.
Moreover, Faria had prayed to the court to frame the criminal charges against the accused persons saying there’s prima facie evidence made out by the National Investigations Agency against the accused.
