SANGUEM: The Janata Curfew declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a total success in Sanguem with no person or vehicle seen moving around in the taluka.

The shops and establishments all over the taluka remained closed for the day. The main bus stand at Sanguem and the whole of Sanguem market wore a deserted look throughout the day since early morning.
Even late in the evening there was no movement of the people all over the taluka except those under compulsion of their agriculture and farm related works. Very few people involved in collection of cashew apples were seen moving in their cashew plantations.
