MARGAO: Following reports that some unknown persons have been flashing laser lights at aircraft flying at night, which has the potential to cause temporary blindness to pilots during the critical stages of take-off and landing, South Goa District Collector Jyoti Kumar has warned of stern action as per the law against those indulging in such activities.
“While the laser beams may appear small on ground, the illumination expands by the time it reaches the cockpit and the dazzling effect on pilots can lead to inadvertent hazardous situations, endangering the lives of hundreds of people,” said Kumar.
