Industry officials said the hike follows rising global energy costs triggered by the ongoing tensions and military conflict in West Asia. The geopolitical situation has pushed up fuel prices worldwide and disrupted supply chains linked to the region.

The increase is part of a nationwide revision in LPG rates announced by oil marketing companies, marking another rise in cooking gas prices within the past year.

Consumers have expressed concern that the hike will add to household expenses, particularly at a time when fuel and essential commodity prices remain volatile.
